A few moments from the private Drum Birthing Ceremony we held this past weekend ✨

What a gift it is to hold these spaces - to witness these beautiful beings show up, with open hearts and ready hands.

We love that the drum finds people exactly when it’s meant to, sometimes calling to them for years in Spirit before finally joining them in body.

There’s something so special about creating space for people to reconnect - with themselves, with the Earth, with the ancient rhythms our ancestors have carried for generations.

And to witness that unfolding in real time, in community, is an immense blessing.

And then there’s the drums themselves!

These aren’t just instruments - they are truly living beings, born through hands, and hide, and prayer, each one carrying its own spirit forward.

They are the bridge where Source meets us, where the unseen becomes song.

Thank you **thank you** to everyone who has trusted us to walk alongside them through this process, leaning a little deeper into the unknown.

And deep gratitude and congratulations to these (born again) drummers for the care and intention each brought to the day.

This is why we work with both!

These simple instruments serve as the rice and beans of Spirit, sustaining our inner life with rhythm, song, ceremony, dance.

And the rattle is the tool we reach for to (quite literally) shake things up, break up the excess, that crusty, stuck, stubborn energy, the things we carry on our neck, back, and shoulders, or even tucked away into some secret room of the heart.

The rattle represents chaos contained, seeds, beads, shells in a pod, like tiny cells dancing in the womb - providing us a safe space to feel, breathe, and BE with ourselves as we let everything else go.

After many, many drum-making ceremonies, we finally had one just for the kids. On a golden Sunday in San Diego, cousins, parents, and friends gathered in a warm, love-filled circle. The air buzzed with laughter, curiosity, and the gentle hum of creation. Some little ones were laser-focused, others joyfully wandering—but each found their own way to weave themselves into their drum. They drew inside the frames, planting their colors, dreams, and stories deep into the wood.

We told them about the deer and its heart, and reminded them that the heartbeat of Mother Earth can heal us all. Under the sun, we tied knots, learned the ways of hide and story, and felt how sacred work can also be pure play.

Pure magic. 10/10 would do it again. 🌞✨

The Lion’s Gate Portal opened just a few days ago on July 26th, will peak August 8th, and will close August 12th ✨

We are sooo stoked to announce we will be vending our wares this upcoming Saturday 05/24 at Lopez Urban Arts Fest @lopezurbanfarm 🌿

This event is going to be an absolute dream!

They’ve got such a great lineup of offerings booked throughout the day, from live documentary filming and screen printing, to loom weaving and tie-dye workshops, live muralists doin’ their thang, music, food, amazing artisans and vendors…the list goes on.

Remember, we’re still on a mission to rehome all our crystal and mineral friends as we clear out older inventory, which means everrrything will be discounted. Plus, we’ll have new jewelry pieces, drums and rattles, Colombian mochilas y más!
