Join us for a beautiful day of ceremony and connection, as you create your own personal drum from start to finish.

The handheld drum is part of the heritage of tribal cultures world-wide. It has been used as a tool of connection between people, their environment and each other since times immemorial. It is no secret that as a species we were making music centuries before the advent of agriculture!

Medicinal drums are wonderful for relaxation, meditation, and healing purposes. The voice of the drum is a guide and teacher, leading us back to Source through nurturing connection with our ancestral vibration. The drum is a bridge that serves to connect us with the essence of the Divine Mother, the creatrix which reminds us we are all part of the Sacred Hoop of Life through the circular shape of the drum.

Mirroring our own beating hearts, the vibration of the drum may serve as a deeply healing reminder of the very Life flowing within us, awakening a deep sense of Inner Knowing and encouraging us to act from this space of Higher Wisdom. This is a unique and intimate form of Sound Medicine, helping to realign and revitalize the many different aspects of the Body and Spirit.

Together, we will call in Sacred Space, set Intention for healing and focused inner reflection, and allow the Spirit of our unique medicine to flow through us. Prior to the creation of the drum, we will allow space to remember the ancient roots connecting us to the oneness of Great Spirit, and ride the sounds of the drum into the Heart of the Sacred Mother to call forth the Spirit of our drum so we may birth it into matter.

The maker does not make the drum, the drum makes the maker. This process isn't entirely easy, though the Journey will be more than worth it!

Learn about the spiritual and practical significance of the drum and beater, enjoy stories, connect with Animal Spirits, and so much more. We will offer hands on guidance throughout the day to help you create, care for and work with your drum as a tool for healing both your Self and your loved ones for years to come!

You will have the opportunity to craft a drum made from either deer or elk hide, honoring their medicine and life upon this earth throughout your creation process.

- Anything else you feel you'll need to be comfortable!
